Slow the shed at its source.
In female pattern hair loss, the growth (anagen) phase of the hair cycle gets shorter. This means hair sheds sooner than it should, leaving hair looking thinner and sparser.
Minoxidil works in part by extending the growth phase, keeping hairs on the scalp longer, and supporting increased density.
Women using 5% minoxidil foam once daily grew more hair than women using a placebo foam, in a randomized, double-blind trial.
